ABOUT JESSICA YATES
The Dream
All the way from 5 years old singing Gretchen Wilson's Redneck Woman at the local karaoke bar, to now traveling around singing in bars and restaurants. From an early age, music has always been at the very center of everyday life. Jessica's family would host game nights gathered around the the T.V. throughout many seasons of the reality T.V. show American Idol. She knew she wanted to be a singer the moment Carrie Underwood won season 4 back in 2005. Jessica's heart was set on country music at a very young age which stemmed from her biggest influences...Her Mother and Father. Singing wasn't something she had to learn. It came naturally from sitting in the living room floor with her mother on a Saturday morning belting The Dixie Chicks Sin Wagon, and singing Whiskey Lullaby with her Father on Saturday nights at the only bar in Salisbury N.C. that would allow children. While Jessica's main focus is country music, if you ever find your way to one of her shows you will hear a wide variety of styles and genres. With influences such as Aretha Franklin, Bill Withers, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, and even Michael Jackson plus some, it is almost a guarantee that you will hear one of your favorite songs or an all time top hit!
